Please introduce yourself briefly and tell us what distinguishes your hotel or host role.

Smart & Stay was developed by Fahim as an apartment hotel concept with a streamlined cost structure — an idea that was born during his studies and turned into reality together with Sabrina. Sabrina is the local host and ensures a smooth stay for the guests. Smart & Stay combines modern, functional design with digital self-check-in and sophisticated services to provide a flexible, convenient and price-conscious accommodation solution — ideal for business travelers and long-term guests.

Did you or how did you do revenue management before you switched to happyhotel?

Our manual revenue management approach: daily market analyses. We regularly reviewed our competitors' prices to establish a well-founded pricing strategy for our hotel. We had to search through various booking platforms and direct hotel websites to understand current price developments.
Pricing strategy adjustments: Based on the collected data, we made manual price adjustments. These then had to be manually entered into our channel management system, which required a lot of time and precision. Since this was all done manually, it was extremely time-consuming. Of course, due to manual processes, this was more difficult to react immediately to changes in the market.
By switching to happyhotel, we were able to overcome many of these challenges, automate our processes and work significantly more efficiently. 😊

Why did you choose Happyhotel?

We chose happyhotel because a friend recommended the system to us in order to manage our hotel management efficiently and largely automatically. As a one-man business, it is particularly important for us to find a solution that is both intuitive and time-saving. happyhotel proved to be the ideal choice for us because it meets exactly these requirements. Before we finally decided, we took a closer look at various competitors and compared their features. In the end, however, our gut feeling played a decisive role — and this was confirmed by happyhotel's ease of use. The test phase in particular showed us how well the system can be integrated into our day-to-day operations and how much it relieves us.

What do you like best about Happyhotel? Which function feels like saving you the most time?

What we like best about happyhotel is that the algorithm is constantly learning and thus enables extremely intuitive and fully automated price management. This makes a significant contribution to optimising our processes and ensuring dynamic and market-oriented pricing. We also particularly appreciate the autopilot and the pick-up report. These features not only run smoothly, but they also make our daily management a lot easier. The autopilot performs important control tasks and ensures efficient utilization, while the pick-up report provides a transparent overview of booking developments. These two features complement each other perfectly and help raise our operational efficiency to a new level.

Have you already made any noticeable additional sales and, if so, by what percentage have you been able to increase your turnover through happyhotel? *

Yes, we definitely have noticeable additional sales, especially in our second hotel, which we opened in Saarbrücken in 2022. There, we had the opportunity to test another competitor's system. During the test phase — which lasted over half a year — we used another, competitive product to evaluate its performance. Unfortunately, we found that this system was not producing the desired results, particularly in terms of increasing sales. We were unable to notice any noticeable improvement in sales, which ultimately prompted us to return to Happyhotel.
After implementing happyhotel again, we were able to quickly see a significant increase in sales. We'll keep the exact percentages to ourselves, but it's clear that the decision to return was the right one. This experience has once again confirmed to us that happyhotel is the best solution for us.
